Crème de la Bride – April 2016
Having the perfect smile, and flashing your pearly whites makes for great photos and is a wonderful confidence booster. You and your groom will be celebrating a beautiful beginning, so here are a few ideas to get your gleaming bright smiles on point.
Visit the dentist. This may sound obvious but it isn’t the first place people think about. Dentists will give you the best hygiene advice and if you choose to go down the whitening route, the procedure is straight forward. The dentist paints your teeth with a hydrogen peroxide solution, and then uses a high-intensity light to activate the gel’s whitening effects.
Look at the paste you are currently using. Swap your regular toothpaste for a whitening product. I love using Janina Ultra white Whitening toothpaste £10.99 which has a unique, low-abrasive formulation. It contains the most active ingredients for good oral hygiene and the new whitening patented Bromaine Complex, a combination of enzymes from pineapple and papaya to safely whiten teeth.
Look at your diet. Coffee, tea, coke, red wine should be drank in moderation. Certainly after you have had a treatment these drinks including dark sauces, acidic foods should be avoided! Fortunately dark chocolate only needs to be avoided for the first week after a treatment.
Have a treatment in the comfort of your own home. I recently had an amazing experience with Debbie – Polished Whitening who has been doing cosmetic teeth whitening since 2012 , and trained in Harley Street. The whole treatment lasted 45 minutes where she used a non peroxide formula all over my teeth with the main ingredient being sodium bicarbonate combined with enriched natural ingredients such as green tea. I was placed under a Blue Cooling LED light and saw results immediately! The treatment can also be done 24 to 48hrs before the wedding.
Finally, for a wedding day photo illusion for perfect white teeth, select a lipstick with a blue undertone, you will be impressed with the results.
